OUR STORY
At Eclipse Vanilla, I’m passionate about bringing the finest vanilla products to your kitchen. My story begins with over 20 years of culinary experience. From bustling restaurant kitchens to the fast-paced world of food trucks and catering, I’ve always been driven by a love for great food and exceptional ingredients.
There’s not too much I haven’t done in the culinary world. I’ve worked in fine dining restaurants, greasy spoon dives, and everything in between. I’ve owned a food truck, a catering company, a café, and more.
One of my favorite ventures was running a bakery with one of my best friends. It was awesome! Our baked goods were amazing, and we had tons of fun in the process. In every business, I’ve always aimed to make as much as possible from scratch, focusing on homemade quality.
Aware
Knowing the high cost of vanilla extract, I thought it might be cool to make our own homemade version, even though at the time, I had zero clues about the process. The first thing I learned is that there is a vast amount of horrible information on the internet.
How can a product with only two ingredients have so many recipes out there? It took me a couple of years and lots of small batches to learn how it was made correctly. In the meantime, I completely fell in love with creating vanilla extracts.
Eclipse Vanilla
Welcome to Eclipse Vanilla. We are Will and Jordan, a father-daughter duo passionate about crafting the finest homemade vanilla extract. Our journey began in the small bakery I co-owned.
Seeking to improve the quality of our ingredients while saving money, I decided to try making our own vanilla extract. It wasn’t long before I fell in love with the process, especially experimenting with different types of alcohol and beans from around the world.
Family
Jordan, my daughter, has been an integral part of this journey. From a young age, she showed an interest in the kitchen, and together, we’ve turned our hobby into a shared passion.
She brings a fresh perspective and boundless enthusiasm, helping to innovate and perfect our vanilla extracts.
Each batch we make is a labor of love, combining my experience and her creative touch.
What started as a simple idea quickly became a small business that continues to grow. Each batch of our vanilla extract is made with care and dedication, creating cherished memories in our kitchen that we are excited to share with you.
